Hi Rev community,
We all know a successful implementation is key to setting your organization up for long term success. But knowing where to begin and who you need on your implementation team for launch day and beyond can be challenging. That’s why we’ve started compiling our Golden Rules — these are our top tips, thoughtfully designed to help enablement leaders create a clear roadmap for implementation success. Over the next several weeks, we’ll share a new tip each week and we’d love to hear from you. Based on your experience implementing Showpad or one of the other countless pieces of tech in your stack, what Golden Rules would you add to our list?
Golden Rule: Focus on integrations upfront.
Point solutions in your sales and marketing tech stack can create islands of capabilities that operate independently, lacking a seamless exchange of data and communication with other tools and systems. These siloes hinder collaboration, efficiency, and the holistic view necessary for informed decision-making. Integrating these technologies can create a more unified and efficient ecosystem.
How to effectively integrate your enablement solution:
- Establish an integration tiger team. Form a dedicated team led by your technical admin and include members from operations, IT, sales, and marketing to oversee all integrations. This dedicated team drives the process — from planning to managing. Together this group will bring diverse expertise and perspectives to select what integrations to pursue, how to implement them, and to get ahead of potential roadblocks.
- Take stock of your tech stack. Partner with your tiger team to map out all tools and platforms in your sales and marketing tech stack, including your CRM, CMS, or DAM. Identify workflow inefficiencies and opportunities for better data visibility through potential integrations.
- Prioritize based on key goals: efficiency, consistency, and user experience. Armed with insights from your tech stack audit, establish clear objectives for what you want your integrations to achieve. Compare factors like data sharing, process automation, and user access control to determine priorities. Create a clear roadmap for future integrations to manage stakeholder expectations about what will be added over time.
